I Adore You

Hi. I'm back with a card for some challenges. It's been quite awhile since I've entered any, but I have one to share today.

I used the Heart of Hearts die by Impression Obsession and added red glitter paper behind it. Some of the die cut hearts were added back into the empty spaces. The sentiment is from the Lots of Love stamp set by Avery Elle and was embossed in red. The panel was die cut with my go to die, SSS Stitched Rectangles, and adhered flat to the card base.

I will enter this into:
Addicted to CAS #80 - code word red
     CASology Week 182 - adore

Have a wonderful rest of the week. Enjoy!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello. I'm still here trying to get some kind of a routine going in retirement. How can I be busier now then when I was working? Hard to believe, but it's true.

Today I decided to just take the time to play.

.

For this card I used the SSS Mosiac Heart Stencil and Dreamweaver Gold Embossing Paste.  I added some glitter to the embossing paste while it was still wet. The sentiment was stamped with Delicata Golden Glitz Ink. After die cutting the panel with SSS Stitched Rectangles, I added a metal key and adhered the panel to my card base.

I'm trying to catch up on everyone's blogs. Please be patient, I'm trying to get a new schedule going instead of being so disjointed and jumping all over the place.

Have a wonderful week. Enjoy!

Thanks So Very Much

Hello. How is everyone? I cannot believe how long it has been since I last posted. With the holidays and work, I did not have much crafty time. However, this is a new year with a new me. I retired! Yes ... yes I did. Now I hope to devote my time to family, friends, card making and my Nerium business.

I finally had some play time last week and got inky one afternoon. I made several panels with the smooshing technique which I love, For this I used Salty Ocean DI & Mowed Lawn DI. I love how the colors blend together and every piece is so different.

For this card, I die cut the smooshed piece with my SSS stitched rectangle dies and adhered the piece to a white card base. The snowflakes were punched from glitter paper with an old McGill punch. I added a trio of them to my card, along with a sentiment from Reverse Confetti. I am entering this into the current challenge at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge which is Frozen.

As you can imagine I needed several thank you cards after retiring from school and this is just one example. I hope to be back soon to share some more.

Meanwhile, I'm off to a Nerium conference in Richmond, Virginia for the weekend. Can't wait!

Have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy!
