Poinsettia Thank You

Hello! We're getting quite a bit of snow here in Central New York. On days like these. I'm so thankful I retired! Today I have a Christmas Thank You card to share.

Following the current sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch, I stamped the smaller poinsettia from the Poinsettia Burst stamp set in the corners of my whip cream cardstock panel with Candy Apple True Color Fusion ink. After masking the poinsettias, I stamped 3 single leaves from the same stamp set  with Fresh Forest True Color Fusion ink.

I added some Gold Silk to the middle of the poinsettias to add some shine. The sentiment is from the Sweet You stamp set. I love the font! I adhered the panel to a whip cream card base. These are very easy to mass produce for Thank You cards this holiday season.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I love reading them. Have a wonderful day! Enjoy!

Happy Holidays

Hello. Today's card features the Fun Stampers Journey Deal of the Day available today only on my website at www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting.

Today only you can go here to purchase our Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils and our Journey Color Burst Pencils for 20% off and a flat rate shipping fee of only $5.00. Isn't that an incredible deal?

To create my card today I used the Color Splash Watercolor Pencils and added the color from the pencils to a stamp block with a waterbrush. Then I inked the images from the Poinsettia Burst stamp set onto whip cream cardstock. The larger poinsettia and some leaves were die cut and popped up onto the panel. The sentiment from the Sparkle Trim stamp set was matted and also popped up onto the panel.

To embellish my card I've splattered it with Gold Silk and added some Fashion Gold. I added some Berries & Holly to my poinsettias. Some Candy Apple Twine was wrapped around the panel and tied in a bow. I added some Gold Twinkle Trim and pieces of Christmas Leaf  (which is a free Bloom Benefit in the Journey Holidays mini catalog available until 12/31) to my bow. The panel was adhered to a Fresh Forest card base. I love the way it turned out!

I'm entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More where the current challenge is Anything Goes.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope I've inspired you a bit with my card today. Happy creating! Enjoy!

Poinsettias

Hello! Time's running short, so my card today is a CAS card featuring the Poinsettia Baskets stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey.

For this card, I followed this week's sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch. After stamping images from the stamp set, I used my Journey Color Burst pencils to color. I love these color pencils! There are 2 trays containing 48 pencils in the set and by combining some of the colors you can create every color in the Fun Stampers Journey palette. I added some Gold Silk to the ribbons and candle flames and Sparkle Silk to the candles. Love the shine from our silks!

My sentiment is from the same stamp set and inked with Black Licorice ink, my absolute favorite black ink. The sentiment was matted on Cranberry Bliss cardstock and popped up onto the panel. The panel was added to a Cranberry Bliss card base and another card is ready to go.

***Enabler alert - Fun Stampers Journey is celebrating 12 Days of Deals from 12/6-12/17. The Journey Color Burst pencils and our Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils are the Deal of the Day on Thursday, December 7, and are on sale at 20% off! Shipping is also reduced to only $5.00. You can add other purchases to your order for the same low shipping price. Go to my website www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting to purchase at the sale prices.  You must complete your order on the day of each deal. ***

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day! Enjoy!

Joy to the World

Hello & Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. After seeing Jennifer McGuire's latest blog post and video on Reverse Die Impressions, I had to try her technique. This was my first attempt and I can't wait to do some more.

Sorry that the photo isn't the best, but you are able to see the reverse die impression. To create the impression you simply place a die upside down on an embossing mat and run it through your die cutting machine. That impresses the the die outline into your cardstock and then you can add your die cut element into the impression.

For my card, I used the Fun Stampers Journey Ornament Swirls die and impressed it into a piece of Whip Cream cardstock. I then die cut the ornament from Mirror Silver cardstock and glued it into the impression. The sentiment is from the Poinsettia Baskets stamp set, stamped in Black Licorice ink and popped up onto the panel. The panel was adhered to a Whip Cream card base. All of the supplies I've used can be purchased at my website www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting.

I love this quick and easy technique and can't wait to try some more with different dies. Make sure you watch Jennifer's video to find out all the beautiful ways you can use this.

I'm adding my card to the challenge at CASology: Week 277: Round and to AAA Cards: CAS Game #104 - Christmas. Again, sorry for the poor photo. It's so hard to take a picture of that mirror paper.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week. Enjoy!

Ho Ho Ho!

Hello. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm recovering from flu and pneumonia and it  seems to be taking forever. At least I am now able to make a few cards.

I made this today following the latest sketch in our Journey Sketches Facebook group, which was Sketch 7.

I started by die cutting my snowflakes from Whip Cream cardstock with the Snow Burst Die Set. After adding Journey Glaze to the snowflakes, I sprinkled them with Sparkle Cuts. I don't know if you can see the shine in the picture, but I have now have Sparkle Cuts everywhere!

I embossed a piece of Cool Pool cardstock with the HO Ho Ho Bold Embossing Folder that is available free as a Bloom Benefit for a $100 order/party. Then I sponged over the panel with Whip Cream from the Party Pop Pan Pastels set. I used Foam Squares to pop up 3 of the snowflakes as my focal piece in the lower right corner and then added 2 more snowflakes above that cluster.

The sentiment is cut from Christmas Cheer Prints pattern paper and popped up onto the panel. I've added  pieces of Black Deco Strips above and below for some added interest. The panel was adhered to a Whip Cream card base and I have another card ready for the mail.

Our adhesives are on sale through Monday as part of our Black Friday Sale.

Visit my website www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting to find out more and see all of our amazing products. Thanks for stopping by and have fun shopping this weekend! Enjoy!

Seasons Greetings

Hello from snowy Central New York! I'm sharing a card today made with a background piece that was "accidently" created while making this card from my last post.

This is my new card:

As well as create the previous card for a team swap, I taught it at a card class. See that gorgeous splattered background piece? That started as a piece of Whip Cream cardstock in a box that was used for spraying splash and silks onto card panels. What a beautiful leftover piece I discovered in the box at the end of class!

Of course, I couldn't throw it away. I can never throw anything away. Light bulb moment - cut it into 4 pieces and use it as backgrounds, which is exactly what I did. I adhered it onto Cool Pool cardstock and then onto a Whip Cream card base.

Those gorgeous snowflakes were die cut from Mirror Silver specialty paper with the Snow Burst dies.  The 3 graduated sizes were popped up with foam squares and a silver sequin from our Special Celebrations collection was added to the top. I also scattered a few more sequins around the panel. I added some strips of Silver and Whip Cream Sparkle Tape and finished my card with a sentiment from the Sparkle Trim stamp set that was heat embossed with Silver embossing powder.

I love how this card turned out. All of the products I used are from Fun Stampers Journey and are available on my website  www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting

Thanks for stopping by to take a look. Have a wonderful week. Enjoy!

Deck the Halls

It snowed here in Central New York (eek!) overnight, so I thought this would be a great card to share today. I made this for a team swap last month.

This card was inspired by another Fun Stampers Journey Coach, Carrie Rhoades, of Carrie Stamps. Carrie created a fabulous Halloween card that I just had to case!

To create the background, I repeatedly stamped a sentiment from the Holiday Celebrations stamp set with Clear Pigment Ink on Whip Cream cardstock. Then I used the lightest blue from the Party Pop pan pastels to add color to the panel. I love how it colors the clear pigment ink.

Next the panel was sprayed with Cool Pool Splash and then Silver Silk was splattered over the panel. After adding Silver and Whip Cream Sparkle Tape, the panel was adhered to a Pool Play panel.  I popped up a matted panel with a white embossed sentiment over the sparkle tape.

To embellish the card I added some Special Celebrations sequins and a snowflake that was die cut with the Snow Burst Die Cut from cardstock covered with sparkle tape. The snowflake was topped with Fashion Silver. The panel was then popped up onto a card base to compete the card.

I must admit, I like these snowflakes more than the real ones outside. How about you? Are you a snow lover?

As always, thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. Enjoy!

Lil Monster

Hi! I have another card to share today. Before we know it Halloween will be here, and I have lots of little ones (and not so little ones) that love their treats.

Isn't this little monster adorable? So cute! The stamp is from Fun Stampers Journey, as are all the products I've used on this card. You can find them all on my website www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting.

The stamp is an ATS called Lil Monster and can be purchased with a matching die. I used our fabulous Black Licorice True Color Fusion ink to add my monster to Whip Cream cardstock. The piece was die cut with Journey Rectangles dies, which can be used alone or combined with the piercing die.

To color my lil monster I used Deep Lilac True Color Fusion Re-Inker added with our Fusion Blender. I matted the whip cream panel with Black Licorice cardstock and then added some pieces of our fun black Deco Strips to the top and side for additional interest. The panel was popped up with  Journey Foam Squares onto Deep Lilac cardstock and then adhered to a whip cream card base.

I covered a small piece of black licorice cardstock with Licorice Sparkle Tape and die cut a bat from the Journey Blooms Holiday Die Set. I love that sparkly bat! Of course, no monster is complete without a googly eye!

I'm adding this card to the current Color Throwdown challenge. This week's colors are black, white and purple - such fun Halloween colors! Please go check out the other entries. There are some great cards there!

I hope you liked my lil monster card as much as I liked making it. Thanks for visiting and have a great week! Enjoy!

Rock On!

Hello. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm certainly enjoying the warmer than normal  temperatures here in Central New York. I hope we don't pay for it this winter, though.

Once again, I find myself needing a bunch of birthday cards. Today's card was a quick one that can be easily mass-produced and is great for a teenager or anyone young at heart.

All of the products I used are available on my website at www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting. Go take a look around!

First I used Beach Ball ink to stamp parts of the Ink Splat ATS onto Whip Cream cardstock. I love that Ink Splat ATS! It makes great backgrounds.  Then I stamped the Rock On ATS with Black Licorice ink over my ink splat background piece.

The Rock On sentiment is included in the ATS. After stamping it on a scrap of the ink splattered paper, it was die cut with a Journey Circles die  and popped up with Journey Foam Squares. The happy birthday sentiment I used is from the Cake Time stamp set.

I matted the stamped panel onto a piece of Beach Ball cardstock  and then adhered it to a whip cream card base.

I'm adding this card to the current challenge at Seize the Birthday where this time around the challenge is Anything Goes!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! Enjoy!

Happy October!

Can you believe it's October already? Time is whisking by. I finally have a minute to post a card I made yesterday with some of the background papers I made for our card class last month. Everyone had a blast using the new Fun Stampers Journey gel press and some of our acrylic paints to make beautiful backgrounds.

To make my  lovely background I chose to add 3 acrylic paints; Lemon Drop, Citrus Cooler and Candy Apple Red to my Whip Cream card stock. Using my brayer, I blended the 3 colors together to get the lovely background. I then stamped a leaf background stamp in Pomegranate Splash on the background. Love at first sight!

My smaller leaves were stamped on another background and fussy cut. The bloom cluster was die cut from gold mirror paper. To assemble the pieces, I first added a triple bow made from black twine and then used foam squares to arrange the other elements. I layered the background onto Black Licorice card stock and then adhered that to a Pomegranate Splash card base.

I love my gel press! It is so addicting and fun to play with. There is no end to what you can use to create beautiful papers with it.

These are the products I used in today's card:
Tools - Journey Gel Press & brayer
   Ink - Pomegranate Red
   Die - Bloom Cluster
Accesories - Black Licorice Journey Twine

You can find all of these supplies on my website at www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed seeing today's card and are having a beautiful fall day. Enjoy!

Happy Anniversary

Hello, everyone! Today I'm sharing an anniversary card that I made with one of my favorite Fun Stampers Journey layering stamp sets, Summer Rose. I love layering stamps and this one is so easy!

There are 3 layers for the roses in this set. I used Bubble Gum True Color Fusion ink for the bottom layer and Candy Apple True Color Fusion ink for the detail layers on my Whip Cream cardstock base. I love the depth that these colors create!

For the leaves, I used Limeade Splash True Color Fusion ink for the lighter bottom layer and Fresh Forest True Color Fusion ink for the detail stamps. I splattered Bubble Gum Silk onto the panel for some added interest and shine.

The card base was adhered to a layer of Black Licorice cardstock. I wrapped some Black Licorice Journey Twine tied into a bow around the base. Finally, the panel was adhered to a Candy Apple cardstock base. The sentiment is from the Bird Melody stamp set. The fonts used for the sentiments in this stamp set are beautiful!

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my card for today. Remember you can purchase any of these supplies from my online store at www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting.

We have an incredible sale this month on many mixed media products, including our fabulous pan pastels and the brand new gel press. Click HERE to see everything that is 20% off this month only!

Party Animals Birthday

Hi! I can't believe that it's September already and that I haven't shared a card in so long. What a busy summer I've had and I hope things slow down once the school year starts. Especially since it's my second year of not having to go back myself!

My great nephew turned 2 over the weekend and I used the fun Party Animals stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey to make his card.

This set has such adorable animals and cute sentiments. I kept the card simple by adding leftover strips of  Hazelnut Blend and Tangerine Fusion card stock to a Whip Cream card base. The sentiments were added with Hazelnut Blend True Color Fusion Ink. My cute  lion was stamped, colored with Journey Color Burst pencils, fussy cut and popped up onto the card base. Fast, easy and a great way to use up scraps!

I'm playing at the current challenge at Pixie's Snippets Playground. Love how many snippets I was able to use to make this cute card.

I hope everyone has an amazing week! Enjoy!

LIM & AAA Collaboration!

Hello! How cool is this? Less is More and AAA Cards are having a collaboration challenge! This 2 week challenge is to make a CAS 1 layer card. The catch - use a colored card base! Here's what I came up with.

I chose  Fun Stampers Journey River Stone cardstock for my card. The World Map background stamp was inked in Lovely Blue True Color Fusion Ink to add the lightest hint of color to my background. I then added the Begin Adventure ATS in Black Licorice True Color Fusion ink. The sentiment is from the same ATS. What could be more appropriate than an airplane and that sentiment on that card?

All of the supplies I've used can be found on my website www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting. I so hope you'll go look around and see all of the fabulous products Fun Stampers Journey has to offer. You'll love them!

I'm adding my card to both of the challenges. Hopefully, my card base is still considered CAS white space, even with the hint of color I've added.

Thanks for visiting and have a lovely day! Enjoy!

Grab Your Sunglasses!

Quick! You may want to grab your sunglasses before you look at my card today!

Pretty bright, don't you think? These fabulous colors are included in the Be Amazing Collection at Fun Stampers Journey. I love these bright, neon colors!

To begin my card a die cut Black Licorice cardstock with the the stunning Geo Burst die set. I love how easily this intricate die cuts in my Amaze die cutting machine. If any of the pieces don't pop out, you can grab the must have Bloom Tool to help pop them out.

I then added the  1 1/2" Circle Punch Cartridge to the Punch Handle and used it to punch 5 of the colors. The colored circles were adhered to the back of the black licorice die cut panel with Journey Craft Glue. Once the glue was dry, I trimmed the overhanging circles with the fabulous Grand Pro 9" Shears. Next I added the panel to my card base made from the 6th color in the collection, Outrageous Pink. Isn't it fun?

To embellish my card I used Turbo Teal Silk to color my Pearls, and adhered one to the center of each burst, Finally I added Amazing Stripes ribbon tied into a bow at the top of my card.

Aren't those bold, beautiful colors stunning with that black panel? I'm adding this card over at Pixie's Snippets Playground as I used scraps to punch all the circles. You should head over and see who else is playing in the Playground this week. Such beautiful entries!

I hope you enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed making it. You can find all the supplies by clicking the links that will take you to my online store at www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I always love hearing from you. Have a great weekend! Enjoy!

Dandelion Wishes

Hello and Happy Friday! I have a CAS card to share today that came together very quickly.

Very CAS, wouldn't you agree? I used a new stamp set, Dandelion Wishes, from Fun Stampers Journey brand new catalog that launched July 1st. If you haven't seen the new catalog yet, click HERE to see the digital version. It's 335 pages of gorgeousness!

First. I die cut Whip Cream cardstock with the Journey Rectangles die set in 2 sizes. Would you believe there are 12 different dies in this set? Then using a stamp positioner, I inked the images and the sentiment with Black Licorice True Color Fusion ink. Have a told you yet that this is hands down my new favorite black ink? Absolutely the crispest black I've ever used.

To finish my card I used Journey Foam Squares to pop the panels up onto the Whip Cream card base.

I'm entering this into the current challenge at CASology where the cue word is 'wish'.  Also, I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and will enter it there.

Please stop by my website www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting and take a look around at all of the amazing Fun Stampers Journey products! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy!
