Fabulous Unicorn

Hello. I hope you had a lovely weekend. It's winter break here in Central New York. No school for the kids, so I get to spend a couple days this week with my granddaughter. Love spending time with her!

The card I'm sharing today uses a new stamp in the Bloom This Way Mini Trends Catalog from Fun Stampers Journey. The second I saw this set I knew I had to have it. It's called Magical Unicorn and you can order the dies for it with the bundle. There are 2 fabulous unicorn images, some great sentiments and a plethora of other fun images.

I so love unicorns, don't you?  Mine was stamped with Black Licorice ink onto Whip Cream cardstock and then die cut. I used our fabulous Color Burst Pencils to color my unicorn and some gems. Next I added Journey Glaze and Sparkle Cuts to make them sparkle. I hope you can see some of that sparkly goodness in the picture.

The whip cream die cut panel was created with a Journey Rectangle die and a Journey Circles die. Behind the aperture I added a paper from the Birthday Pop Printed Paper collection. Isn't it fun? The panel was then adhered to a whip cream card base. The sentiment is from the stamp set. Lastly I popped up my colored images onto the card. I love it! Can you guess who is getting a birthday card made with this set next week?

I'm entering this into Inspirational: Challenge 154 - Aperture.

Thanks for stopping in so I could share my fab unicorn card with you. Have a wonderful week! Enjoy!

Love Ya

Hi! Today I'm playing with more flowers. They always make me happy!

I used the Spring Botanicals stamps to create this card. The blooms and leaves were inked with Candy AppleBubble Gum, and River Stone inks onto Whip Cream cardstock. The cardstock had been die cut with  the largest of the Journey Rectangles dies, adhered to River Stone cardstock and then to my card base. The sentiment is from the Everyday Script Bundle and was popped up onto the card.

I'm entering this into the challenge at Color Throwdown where the colors are red, pink & gray, as well as the challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More for Holiday. Also entering CAS on Friday #126 - Dies.

Who doesn't love flowers for Valentine's Day? Enjoy!

Birthday Cake Pop Up

Today I played with a new die from Fun Stampers Journey's latest mini catalog, Bloom This Way. I absolutely love this die and will be doing a lot more with it.

Isn't that awesome? I love it! The die is the Window Pop die and I die cut it from one of the designs in the Party Pop paper collection, also in the same mini catalog. Polka dots are another favorite of mine.

The cake is an image from the To You Bundle, which includes stamps and dies. The fun sentiment is included in a new set, Let's Eat Cake. It's just such a fun card, don't you think? I keep playing with the pull tab to open and close it.

This will be my second entry in the Seize the Birthday challenge. This time I'm playing with the topping, which is candles.

You can find all of the supplies I've used on my website. The link is on the left. Thanks for stopping in to take a look and have a great week! Enjoy!

Summer Rose

Hello. I can't wait for roses to bloom! Today's card features the gorgeous Summer Rose multi-layering stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey.

The stamp set makes 2 roses, each with 3 different layers. I used Bubble Gum ink for the solid bottom image and Sweet Berry ink for the other 2 layers on Whip Cream cardstock. After masking the flower, I stamped 3 sets of the leaves in Lemon Grass ink. The panel was adhered to Lemon Grass cardstock, wrapped with  Lemon Grass Journey Thread tied in a bow and added to a Whip Cream card base.

I am making several of these without sentiments. Then when I need a card for a specific occasion, I can add the appropriate sentiment. These will be perfect for birthdays, Mothers Day, Thinking of You, Get Well or even Valentine's Day, don't you think?

I'm entering this into the challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. The colors for this week's challenge are perfect for florals.

As always, thanks for stopping by. I love reading your sweet comments. Have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy!

Beautiful Wings

Hello! I'm still trying to think Spring. Here in Central New York we are getting a lot of snow. So far at least 8 inches in the last 7 hours. See why I'm making so many cards with flowers and bright colors? Today I have a CAS monochromatic butterfly card.

I love butterflies! This card uses 3 of the 4 stamps from the Fun Stampers Journey Beautiful Wings multi-step stamp set. The bottom layer was stamped with  Lavender Fusion ink on a piece of  Whip Cream cardstock.  Then Grape Fusion ink was used for the other layer, as well as the sentiment. Isn't that an awesome sentiment? So encouraging. The stamped panel was die cut with Journey Rectangle dies, adhered to Grape Fusion cardstock and then to a Whip Cream card base. Quick and easy!

I'm adding this to the current challenge at CASology where the cue word is butterfly.

Thanks for stopping in to take a look at today's card. Hopefully, it brightened your day and made you think Spring, also.

Rainbow Birthday

Hello! Today I have a rainbow colored birthday card to share. I love rainbows, don't you? They just make me happy!

I finally had some time to play with the new Fun Stampers Journey Designer Series Stencil available  in the Bloom This Way mini catalog. This stencil is actually 4 stencils in 1 which I cut into the 4 smaller sizes. They are the perfect size for a card front.

After placing the stencil on Whip Cream cardstock, I used daubers to apply the inks diagonally in rainbow order. I used Candy Apple, Citrus CoolerLemon DropLimeade SplashBeach Ball and Grape Fusion inks. The stenciled panel was added to Candy Apple cardstock, and then adhered to a Whip Cream card base. The sentiment is from the Storybook Occasions stamp set, which is another favorite of mine from the mini catalog.

Quick and easy birthday card to make multiples. I know I always need birthday cards.

I'm entering this into the current challenge at Seize the Birthday, without the topping this time.

You can visit my website for all the products I used on this card. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! Enjoy!

Hurry Up, Spring!

Hello and Happy February! January seemed to last forever here in Central NY. Such a long month! I have been busy making cards for classes. Today I  have a new card for some challenges.

It's been so long since I created any kind of step card. I was inspired by a side step card I saw that was made by a fellow Fun Stampers Journey coach. This uses two of my favorite stamp sets.

After making the center step card from Whip Cream  cardstock, I cut my paper layers from Watermelon Fusion cardstock and one of the pattern papers from Spring Filled Prints. The focal point is the gorgeous You Are ATS inked with Fresh Forest True Color Fusion Ink.

The beautiful floral stamps are from the Spring Botanicals Bundle. I love having the dies to cut out the stamps. I used Fresh ForestWatermelon FusionLemon Drop, and Bubble Gum inks to ink the stamps and then die cut them. The die cuts were popped up onto the card. I am really happy with how this turned out.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Just Us Girls #426 - LOVE
     613 Avenue Create #206 _ Anything Goes/Optional Twist - Love
     Fashionable Stamping - Anything Goes
Stamping Sensations - February - Anything with Flowers

Doesn't this card just make you want Spring to get here even more than you already do? It sure does for me!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week! Enjoy!
