Ho Ho Ho!

Hello. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm recovering from flu and pneumonia and it  seems to be taking forever. At least I am now able to make a few cards.

I made this today following the latest sketch in our Journey Sketches Facebook group, which was Sketch 7.

I started by die cutting my snowflakes from Whip Cream cardstock with the Snow Burst Die Set. After adding Journey Glaze to the snowflakes, I sprinkled them with Sparkle Cuts. I don't know if you can see the shine in the picture, but I have now have Sparkle Cuts everywhere!

I embossed a piece of Cool Pool cardstock with the HO Ho Ho Bold Embossing Folder that is available free as a Bloom Benefit for a $100 order/party. Then I sponged over the panel with Whip Cream from the Party Pop Pan Pastels set. I used Foam Squares to pop up 3 of the snowflakes as my focal piece in the lower right corner and then added 2 more snowflakes above that cluster.

The sentiment is cut from Christmas Cheer Prints pattern paper and popped up onto the panel. I've added  pieces of Black Deco Strips above and below for some added interest. The panel was adhered to a Whip Cream card base and I have another card ready for the mail.

Our adhesives are on sale through Monday as part of our Black Friday Sale.

Seasons Greetings

Hello from snowy Central New York! I'm sharing a card today made with a background piece that was "accidently" created while making this card from my last post.

This is my new card:

As well as create the previous card for a team swap, I taught it at a card class. See that gorgeous splattered background piece? That started as a piece of Whip Cream cardstock in a box that was used for spraying splash and silks onto card panels. What a beautiful leftover piece I discovered in the box at the end of class!

Of course, I couldn't throw it away. I can never throw anything away. Light bulb moment - cut it into 4 pieces and use it as backgrounds, which is exactly what I did. I adhered it onto Cool Pool cardstock and then onto a Whip Cream card base.

Those gorgeous snowflakes were die cut from Mirror Silver specialty paper with the Snow Burst dies.  The 3 graduated sizes were popped up with foam squares and a silver sequin from our Special Celebrations collection was added to the top. I also scattered a few more sequins around the panel. I added some strips of Silver and Whip Cream Sparkle Tape and finished my card with a sentiment from the Sparkle Trim stamp set that was heat embossed with Silver embossing powder.

I love how this card turned out. All of the products I used are from Fun Stampers Journey and are available on my website  www.funstampersjourney.com/pamnutting

Thanks for stopping by to take a look. Have a wonderful week. Enjoy!

Deck the Halls

It snowed here in Central New York (eek!) overnight, so I thought this would be a great card to share today. I made this for a team swap last month.

This card was inspired by another Fun Stampers Journey Coach, Carrie Rhoades, of Carrie Stamps. Carrie created a fabulous Halloween card that I just had to case!

To create the background, I repeatedly stamped a sentiment from the Holiday Celebrations stamp set with Clear Pigment Ink on Whip Cream cardstock. Then I used the lightest blue from the Party Pop pan pastels to add color to the panel. I love how it colors the clear pigment ink.

Next the panel was sprayed with Cool Pool Splash and then Silver Silk was splattered over the panel. After adding Silver and Whip Cream Sparkle Tape, the panel was adhered to a Pool Play panel.  I popped up a matted panel with a white embossed sentiment over the sparkle tape.

To embellish the card I added some Special Celebrations sequins and a snowflake that was die cut with the Snow Burst Die Cut from cardstock covered with sparkle tape. The snowflake was topped with Fashion Silver. The panel was then popped up onto a card base to compete the card.

I must admit, I like these snowflakes more than the real ones outside. How about you? Are you a snow lover?

As always, thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. Enjoy!
