It's Party Time!

Hello. It's been another week! Only a few days until I go back to work, closely followed by the kids coming back. Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a challenge at the Paper Arts Club I attend. Back to my vintage and layered roots with this one.

I used papers from the Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate collection for this card. Graphic 45 is my all-time favorite paper crafting company. I think I own close to every collection they've ever made. Hoarder, you say? Must definitely! Their papers are just too gorgeous to cut.

The cut-apart pages are ideal for making cards. After wrapping a length of white seam binding around the balloon paper and tying a multi-loop bow, I adhered it to my card base. A paper doily was then added. I used foam squares to add the cut-apart over the doily. The balloons were fussy cut from a bit of the balloon paper and also added with foam for dimension. A button tied wth twine was adhered with a glue dot to the bow.

Love all the layers on this card, yet it was quick and easy to make. Hope you like it, too.

Wishing you all a wonderful week. Enjoy!

CAS Birthday Balloons

Another week flew by. It was my first week of 2 1/2 weeks off between summer school & the upcoming school year. I was busy spending time working on my new Nerium skincare business and catching up on some projects. Today I found some time to make some cards for my Paper Arts Club meeting and swap this coming week.

For this CAS birthday card I masked a strip down the side of my card base. Then I stamped a balloon stamp in rainbow colors down the strip. After removing the masking tape, I stamped the sentiment and my CAS one layer card was finished in very little time.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges -
One Layer Simplicity Challenge #19 - Strip Down
AAA Card Challenge #46 - Maskerade
Seize the Birthday - with toppings "Anything that Flies"

I have another busy week ahead of me, but I did make more cards today that I  will share later in the week. Have a great week. Enjoy!

Who's Turning 40?

Hello. Yes. It's me. Finally. Summer school is over, my new skincare business is started, the surprise 40th birthday party was celebrated and the scrapbook was given to the birthday girl (to be completly finished later). I feel like I can breathe for the first time in weeks. Here's the birthday girl's card -

Of course, I had to use CAS-ual Fridays WTF stamp set. It's my go-to set for every 40 or 50 year old birthday card I make. I used a rainbow of ink colors on my repeated pattern of 40s surrounding the WTF sentiment. Once again I die cut the panel with SSS Stitched Rectangle Dies and mounted with fun foam onto a card base. For the finishng touch, I added a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges -
Seize the Birthday - no toppings for me

Thanks for stopping in and have a great week. Enjoy!

Happy Retirement

Hello. I'm finally back! I've been so busy that half of the summer slipped away and I haven't posted in 2 weeks. I've tried to keep up with everyone's blogs, but if I've missed some lately, I'm sorry. Summers are so busy for all of us, aren't they?

I did find a few minutes to play some more with the Altenew Painted Butterflies and their new ink collections. I used two of their yellow inks to stamp these lovely layered butterflies. Then I used black ink for the outline stamp. The 'happy' is from the  Winnie & Walter The Big, The Bold and The Happy stamp set. I love w&w's Big, Bold series of stamps. You can create any sentiment with all those words. The 'retirement' is from Sweet 'n Sassy Retirement Sentiments. Once again I die cut the panel with Simon Says Stamps Stitched Rectangles and adhered it to a card base. The sequins I used for embellishing are from Pretty Pink Posh. I love Paulina's sequins!

I am entering this card into these challenges:

Virginia's View Challenge #17 - All Things Embellished
Shopping Our Stash #212 - Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend - use bling
Crazy 4 Challenges #297 - Admit You're Happy - use the word 'happy'

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hopefully, I'll be back soon. Enjoy!
