Life Can Be Tough

Today's card is being sent to a dear friend whose grandson was born five weeks ago with some severe complications. This poor little guy has already had two surgeries and is facing another. He's been in the NICU since birth and is expected to be there at least through April. So very difficult on everyone.

This is the card I made today for her. I recently received an order from Simon Says Stamp and this sentiment is from one of the new stamp sets in their latest release. The set is Hand Lettered Encouragement and the sentiments are fabulous. I knew I had to use this sentiment on her card.

I followed the sketch for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #114. The flower is an older wood stamp from Inkadinkado and is stamped in Orange A Muse Studio ink. I used Slate A Muse Studio ink for the sentiment. A Muse Studio inks are pigment inks and I really like them. Once again I used my Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to die cut a frame.

Here's the inside of my card. (I forgot to take the picture before I wrote in it, so forgive me for the post it tape covering that up.) I love this sentiment from Verses called It's a Hug. It couldn't be more appropriate for this card. I used the same A Muse Studio inks on the inside of my card.

This is the current CAS(E) this Sketch challenge that I am entering this card into -

I will also enter this into:

I'm off to mail this before going to work. Thanks for visiting  and enjoy your day.
