Muse #115

Hello. Today I'm joining in over at the Muse. This week's muse is the incredibly talented Chrissie Stokes from Simply One of a Kind. Her blog is aptly named because she is definitely just that; one of a kind. Just look at her gorgeous card.

Here's my feeble attempt -

I was inspired by Chrissie's colors and embossing. For my background panel I blended several red distress inks, flicked with water and then sprayed A Muse Stardust Finishing Spray to achieve some shimmer. I then heat embossed an Inkadinkado Hummingbird  with Simon Says Stamp Ultra Fine Gold embossing powder. The panel was then die cut with 2 of the SSS Stitched Rectangles dies. I dry embossed black CS with the Sizzix Tim Holtz brick embossing folder.

The gold edge on my card base was also heat embossed with the same embossing powder as the hummingbird. I then adhered all the pieces together, popping up the center panel with foam tape.

I will enter this into:

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate all of your visits. Have a wonderful week. Enjoy!

  7. "Feeble"? Did I read that correctly? PAM! Nothing about this card is 'feeble;' rather, it's rich with lovely colours, a beautiful image and marvelous texture. In my world: fabulous and fantastic! You've translated Chrissie's inspiration card into one infused with your delightful style!
